'Kundalini' is recognized as the energy of awareness that is contained in every human being. Kundalini Yoga is a kriya based yoga that draws thousands of potential postures, breath exercises, meditations and mantras. Although each class is different, the formant for this workshop will include a yoga asana (movement), pranayam (breathing exercise), chanting of mantras, meditation and deep relaxation and will move you beyond your perceived limitations.
All levels welcome. Beginners encouraged! Don't worry about being a newbie, we will explain different breathing techniques, what certain chants mean, offer modifications and more.
Casey is a Kundalini Yoga Teacher, certified through the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher's Association (IKYTA), as taught by Yogi Bhajan. She trained with Gurmukh Kaur in Rishikesh, India. Casey's mission is to share the powerful teachings of Kundalini Yoga while providing a safe space for those to heal, decompress and elevate. She recently moved back to Philadelphia after living on the island of Kauai. Casey felt a calling to return to the community to share the teachings of Yogi Bhajan.
