Filling the Void:Sobriety & Spirituality is a community group focused on the connection between sobriety and spirituality. Typically meeting twice a month, FV:SS now presents its traveling series in a two hour event incorporating discussion, meditation and reiki. FV:SS wastes no time diving in so it is asked of the attendees to commune with an open heart. Participation is not required but honesty and humor is necessary. Pen, paper and friends encouraged.

FVSS is led by Desiree Fiorentino, a beauty and wellness entrepreneur. Based out of NYC, Desiree has integrated yoga and reiki into her haircare business to spread across all communities. She travels the East Coast to see her clients and is in college to pursue a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Filling the Void: Sobriety & Spirituality is a confidential and safe space for individuals who are currently living or interested in living a sober lifestyle. Filling the Void is not affiliated with a twelve step program or recovery center, nor is it recommended to use FVSS in place of treatment or therapy. FVSS is here to inspire sober living with soulful decisions.

FVSS will open with short introductions and is immediately followed by a group discussion based upon the topic that is chosen for that week. Discussions can range from a plethora of topics. This group is open to any individual that is currently living or considering living a sober lifestyle. Attendees are encouraged to participate in this casual format, forming intentions and setting goals, to make soulful decisions to face day to day life. Here, they will have an opportunity to share and ask questions.

There is no minimum requirement of sobriety needed to attend or participate. There is no requirement of what your sobriety or lifestyle looks like, we only ask that you be respectful before, during and after the group to all participants and individuals at the event space. This group is donation based to help support the venue and for the group to hold more events like this.

My mission for starting FVSS is to show individuals that sobriety can be fruitful and fun.
