George Hofmann will present a four-week series as an Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation. Besides meditation instruction and guided meditation, we will investigate Awareness of the Breath, Body Awareness, Focused Attention and Self-Awareness, and Integrating Mindfulness Into Your Daily Life. If you have an interest in meditation, or have tried it and found it difficult, this series is designed for you. George has a long-time meditation practice and has studied Mindfulness-Based Stress Management at the Penn Program for Mindfulness and The Center For Mindfulness of the University of Massachusetts. He also has designed and presented corporate stress-management programs. While the stress management benefits of mindfulness are emphasized, he encourages meditators to apply mindfulness to enhance all aspects of life and to better deal with life’s challenges.
