Paige Chapman was born and raised in Center City and prides herself in being a hometown Philly girl. She fell in love with yoga after she began practicing in 1998 as a compliment to her dance studies at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. While working in the special events industry in 2002, she was certified at Om Yoga Studio in Manhattan with Cyndi Lee and has been teaching yoga for over 14 years in New York, San Francisco, and now back in Philadelphia since 2007.
Paige has studied Vinyasa, Anusara, and Ashtanga yoga with senior teachers around the country. Upon moving back to Philadelphia, she became inspired by a foundational alignment practice through the Iyengar tradition and studied with Ellen Greenberg of Practice Yoga, Joan White, amongst other senior teachers. With a renewed love and inspiration for Kundalini Yoga, Paige now travels and studies as much as possible with her teachers Elena Brower and Guru Jagat. In 2009 she received her Prenatal Yoga certification, also at Om in NYC, and soon after became a trained and passionate Doula through Birth Arts International. In 2011, her work in the magical world of birth lit a feisty fire of inspiration. Exactly one year later, with the love and support of her family and friends, Mama’s Wellness Joint was born.
Paige has discovered that her greatest passion is nurturing women and giving them the tools to live at their highest potential. Through Mama’s Wellness Joint she hopes to offer a sanctuary of healing and love to her Philadelphia community and beyond.
