Women are the most glorious support for one another. We rally to the cause when one of us is hurting. We seek out support from each other intuitively. We show, up and we make a difference. Or do we?
In the fall of 2018, three white women read a book based on the recommendation of their friend, a Woman of Color. Our eyes were opened, and we began to explore how we could be different. As a white woman, have you ever truly explored the impact you’re having on Women of Color? Are you open to the possibility that you’ve actually hurt more than you’ve helped? Are you willing to learn more?
Please join Lisa Lord (facilitator), Aurora Archer, Kelly Croce Sorg and Paige Chapman for an introspective and interactive workshop to explore: how did we get here, how are we harming, and what is our accountability? All that’s required are open hearts and minds.
If you’d like to get started, we recommend reading White Fragility by Robin D’Angelo. Prior attendees are welcome, and we encourage you to bring a friend - the more voices and perspectives, the better. Please register in advance as we have limited space.
This event is $20 and 100% of the proceeds will go to a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) educator/activist.
