“I’m sure you have heard by now, we finally had our baby! BPS was born Friday, October 3rd at 6:27pm.  I went into labor on Thursday night and it was long process.  I started at 4cm and got to 8cm naturally by Friday morning.  Every nurse and midwife could not believe how calm and easy it was for me. Then everything got crazy, Blake turned his head to the side, my contractions slowed to 5-10 mins apart, and I stayed at 8cm for the next 6 hours.  Needless to say, I was exhausted.  I weighed all my options and decided to get the epidural, nap and start pitocin to get my contractions started.  Luckily this solution worked quickly and I was fully dilated and only pushed for 30 minutes.  I even got to pull him out 🙂 I started at MWJ at 17 weeks after never attending a yoga studio.  I completely fell in love with the practice and attribute feeling so great during my pregnancy to all the classes.  I can not thank you enough and you are amazing!!! Happy 2 year anniversary! I’m sure you will be around for a long time!

“I wanted to drop you a thank you email – I had my baby on Friday the 26th, right on time!  He was 6 lbs, 6 ozs & we named him Azure.

Thank you so much for everything.  The prenatal yoga classes at Mama’s were such an integral part of my pregnancy. I’m convinced that yoga is the reason my pregnancy felt so easy and my body felt so good, all the way to the end.  Even in the days I couldn’t make it to class,  I usually did a few of the sequences that you taught us, and I think that constant gentle movement and body awareness kept my body feeling normal and healthy. I also suspect that the yoga was the reason I had such an easy birth too. I was only in active labor for 2 hours and only pushed for 1 hour – no complications or tearing at all!  During pushing, my midwife was teasing me that I must have done a lot of yoga in my pregnancy because I kept twisting into crazy positions 🙂

Anyway,  thank you so much for the incredible resource give this city.  I’m looking forward to bringing Azure to some Mommy & Me classes when he’s a little older!

“Just wanted to let you know my little guy came 4 weeks early, and I gave birth on September 28. His name is Johnny H, and he had to stay in the NICU for a while, but he’s coming home tomorrow and all is well. I just wanted to touch base since I haven’t been to class. I have to say yoga really prepped me for my labor! And while it’s been super exhausting to go back and forth to the hospital, I feel that yoga is really helping my recovery too.

“I just wanted to give you an update since I saw you at last Saturdays class. That day I turned 39 weeks and was full of anticipation for what was to come. What I didn’t know was that it’d start coming so soon after leaving class! I’d say by the time I got home and had lunch labor had started! EDM arrived just before 11pm Sunday night at 8lbs 1oz. I labored for a long time at home- arriving at the hospital Sunday around 11am making it all the way to 6cm on my own! All my yoga breathing and practice was well used. I had a vaginal delivery but did end up needing some help to get the rest of the way with enough energy to push. I’m happy with how things turned out. Plus now I’ve got a wonderful son who I’m totally in love with. Thanks for everything and I’m looking forward to getting back to mamas! Please feel free to share with the class- I got many good luck wishes as I was leaving last week.
